5 Cool Possibilities For Season 3 Of The Flash

Last night The Flash ended its second season in style. "The Race of His Life" had lots of unexpected twists and turns. All of which led to a very excited cliffhanger. 

The future of The Flash will certainly be different. Here are some of my ideas of what could happen when the show returns in October. (IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE FLASH FINALE DO NOT CLICK THE JUMP, MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD!)

Arrow "The Calm" Season 3 Premiere Thoughts/Review!

Thats right my fellow arrow heads, the highly anticipated CW show is back which means....THE ARROW REVIEW HAS RETURNED! Now with out further adue let us begin!

Episode Description: With crime in Starling City at an all-time low thanks to The Arrow and his team, Oliver thinks he can finally balance being both the Arrow and Oliver Queen and asks Felicity out on a date. However, when a new villain emerges, who has claimed the name Vertigo from the recently deceased Count, Oliver is caught off-guard and someone close to him is hurt. Oliver and a newly suited up Roy take on the Count. Meanwhile, Diggle becomes a father, Quentin is promoted to Captain, Laurel joins Team Arrow and Felicity gets a part-time job at a tech store to make ends meet. Also, Oliver fights to regain his company, Queen Consolidated, but comes up against a very worthy opponent - the charming Ray Palmer

Low Points

• Flash backs to Hong Kong seemed bland (confusing at times)
• Vertigo's toxin reminded me too much of Scarecrow
• The Laurel scenes were boring
• Random Thea texts through out the episode but no actual scenes of her
• Very strange introduction to Vertigo and how he came about. No real back story

Verdict

It seems like forever since the last time we've done a review but it feels great to be back! As far as the episode goes it did not disappoint. These Flash Tuesdays and Arrow Wednesdays are going to be extremely fun and enjoyable for both seasons. Arrow started right off with a bang including all the members of Team Arrow including a fully suited up Roy Harper. The fighting was fantastic, the team work was fantastic, just everything you would expect from a season opener. The flash back scenes however were the lowest part of the episode in my opinion. Although they introduced us to new characters and a new part of Ollie's story, they seemed very bland. The ending left me jaw dropped and provoked much excitement and anticipation for next week's episode. 

Overall I give the season 3 premiere of Arrow a solid 8.0 out of 10

Wildcat and Ras Al Ghul In 'Arrow' Season 3

SDCC strikes again! This time revealing more characters for Arrow's 3rd season. The first addition will be Ted Grant or better known as Wildcat. A few months back when people began speculating that Katie Cassidy would begin to assume the role of Canary, I mentioned that this would be a great time to bring in her mentor Wildcat. So I am pumped it is actually happening. Just perfect time to bring in the character. I love how this show is willing to bring on these lesser known characters such as Grant or Ray Palmer to fit it's needs.

Now for the huge news. The big bad of season 3 has been revealed as Batman villain Ras Al Ghul! The League of Assassins and Ras were both referenced last season, but many fans never actually expected to see the Demon's Head in live action. So to hear he will be stalking the streets of Starling is exciting. Especially since he and the Dark Archer got beef. Check out the extended preview with the Ras reveal.

P.S. With Ras coming to town it's a perfect time to introduce Nightwing. Just saying...

Stephen Amell's Cousin Robbie Amell Joins 'The Flash'

Many new additions have been being added to Arrow for season 3 and now we have an addition to the spinoff. Robbie Amell will be joining the cast as Ronnie Raymound, also known as Firestorm, and will have an important in how Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) becomes the Flash.

Keeping the family name in the business, Robbie Amell, cousin to Steve Amell who plays Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow in the Arrow hit show, will be a great addition to the cast. He had a short lived run on a previous show, The Tomorrow People, but I believe this role has his name all over it. He definitely has the heart to act in this role and he was born to play Firestorm

For the people who don't know, Firestorm was formed by the fusion of two people, a young high school student Ronnie Raymond and an award winning physicist Martin Stein, during a nuclear lab accident where Ronnie took over the controls with Martin being a small voice of reason in his head. They do change Ronnie's back story in the TV series, having him as a maintenence worker at STAR Labs with Caitlin Snow (played by Danielle Panabaker) as his fiance, but it shouldn't change much of the original story of Firestorm.

Arrow Casts Brandon Routh as The Atom for Season 3!

TV Line is reporting that Superman Returns actor, Brandon Routh will be joining the ever growing cast of Arrow for the new and upcoming season. According to the article, Routh will be playing Ray Palmer or better known by his superhero identity, The Atom. Not exactly the Man of Steel but still a pretty awesome character. For those who may not know, The Atom's abilities include enlarging and shrinking objects that surround him (including himself). Also, he can manipulate his weight to his advantage. Pretty badass stuff. Anyways, the article also says that Routh's character will be the new CEO of Queen Consolidated, and has complete control of the Applied Sciences division. First I would like to say I approve the choice of Brandon Routh. Although Superman Returns wasn't the greatest of films, I enjoyed his portrayal of the Man of Steel. I think having a guy who has played one of the biggest super hero's of all time on the big screen is really a positive add on for this new season. Second, it will be interesting to see how Ray's storyline will come intertwined with Oliver's. With Ray taking over the company, and keeping the Applied Sciences division "a mystery" to quote the article, it raises the question will these two get along? Also, when you factor in the fact that it is a possible love interest for Felicity, we could see some tempers flair based off of how Ollie treated Barry.  Lastly lets touch on The Atom as a hero. We have all seen him in other DC shows and stories such as Justice League and Teen Titans, but I'm very interested to see Atom join the Arrowverse. It will be fun to see how the special effects team on Arrow can bring his powers to this show, and I'm am very much looking forward to it. One last question, by adding another vigilante into the mix, does this mean both Arrow and Atom will be seen in Flash's universe as well? I guess we will keep an eye out for that too. Karl Yune Joins 'Arrow' For Season 3

Yesterday Matt reported that Arrow had officially cast Devon Aoki (Sin City) as Katana/ Tatsu Yamashiro, well today the show continued adding to its season 3 ensemble by bringing on actor Karl Yune (Real Steel). Yune will play Maseo Yamashiro who in comics is Katana's husband and a fellow martial artist. Both Katana and her husband Maseo will play large roles in season 3's flashbacks by training Oliver during his (Amanda Waller forced) stay in Hong Kong. The couple could also possibly show up in present day Starling.

It's great to see the new pieces of the season 3 puzzle start to come together. Trying to top last season's Deathstroke flashbacks will be tough, but I think Katana and Maseo are up for the job. I love the writing team bringing on less well known DC characters. Tatsu was really shining on Beware the Batman before that show was cut short, so I am happy to see her character get a live action treatment. Hopefully leading to her character gaining some much deserved popularity. Arrow comes back for it's 3rd season in the fall.

Breaking News: Arrow Casts for Katana in Season 3!

Some very important news from the Arrow Team today that they casted Devon Aoki as Tatsu Yamashiro aka Katana for season 3 of the CW series Arrow.

This is a big new addition for the Arrow cast and it will add a whole new perspective to the story. From what the sources have said, she is going to be Oliver's mentor from the past in flashbacks that they are going to add in and is most likely to appear in the present day world as well.

For the people that don't know, Katana is a Japanese martial arts expert that has had some minor roles in the DC universe as of late. She was first sighted as a part of the Outsiders series back in the earlier years and got a reboot like many others in the comic world after Flashpoint where she joined up with Black Canary and Stirling making the Birds of Prey. It was after this that Katana was put into Green Arrow #27 where she was added to the origin of Arrow. I believe that her role in season 3 will have its main influence from this comic.

She is also a great pick for the role. She looks the part and she looks like a natural holding a katana in her hand. She has had work in a few other movies, such as Sin City, Dead or Alive, and 2 Fast and 2 Furious but I feel that this new role will be her best as of yet.

Four New Characters to Show Up in Arrow Season 3?!

CBM and Tv Line are reposting that the people from Arrow have released four new character descriptions for original characters planning to show up at some point during season 3. Here is the descriptions they have provided with us with.

"The first character they have information on is a man in his 20s, apparently named Daniel however the site believes it may be a throwaway name to prevent spoilers. He is handsome, enigmatic and a highly intelligent enterpreneur who is working on "groundbreaking technology". He will be a major recurring character and a possible love interest for Felicity Smoak. He will be a rival of Oliver both personally and professionally. Dick Grayson anyone?
The second character is a well educated criminal named Seth, good with chemicals and has grand ambitions. He is potentially recurring and gains control over enemies by druging them and draining their willpower. He is a physical match for Oliver. An alternate Scarecrow?
The site also got their hands on some information about characters in the upcoming Hong Kong flashbacks. The two characters they learned about are Toshi and Akiko, a husband and wife duo. Toshi is Oliver's teacher/handler and will become a friend. He is skilled in weaponary, combat and intelligence gathering. Akiko is his wife who will also serve as a caretaker. She is highly skilled in martial arts."

So those are the descriptions. Any ideas of who these characters could be. My thoughts are as follows. The first one could easily be Dick Grayson aka Nightwing or Ted Kord. Now we have been hearing rumors for months now that Nightwing will be appearing on Arrow. Does this add more to these rumors? The next description describes a villain who uses chemicals as his weapon. Could this be an alternate Scarecrow? Seems like a long shot, but considering I am a huge Scarecrow fan, I would not be opposed to seeing him, but again thats a long shot. The last two really got me thinking so I had to think outside the box for these two but I came to this speculation. This could easily be the descriptions of Komodo and Katanna. Komodo would be amazing to see on this show along with Katanna. They are both amazing characters and are incredibly skilled fighters. Just speculations but let us know what you guys think! More Nightwing Rumors for Arrow Season 3?!?!

So CBM found the personal instagram of Steven R. McQueen has posted a photo of McQueen posing with Stephen Amell at what could be a LA Kings viewing party of some sort. Personally my choice is the Ranger's for this year's Stanley Cup Finals, but that's not what we are here to discuss. Is this picture more fuel to the Nightwing rumors? Are we going to see Dick come to Starling City to join our favorite hooded hero for season 3? Ehhh my personal opinion its a little too soon to speculate, but we have hope right? Personally I'm all in for the Dick Greyson movement. Get this guy on a bus, on a train, on a plane, any form of transportation and get him to Starling City. What do you guys think though? Do you think we will see Nightwing join up with Arrow in season 3, or is this just some cruel and harsh prank they are pulling on us? I hope it's the first choice.

Arrow Season 3 Updates!

So as we all know, Arrow's Season 2 just ended last week. So to build anticipation for Season 3 some of the cast was recently interviewed by TVLine.com. Here's some of the things they discussed.

1. So obviously the speculations begin with who will take over the big bad spot while Slade is locked away in jail. In my opinion I hope it's Komodo. I recently started reading Jeff Lemire's Green Arrow and Komodo is one bad motherfucker. I would love to see him come to Starling City and all sorts of madness.

2. Thea obviously went off with her new daddy but does that mean she's coming back as a bad ass? John Barrowman who plays Macolm Merlyn thinks so. It's a pretty safe bet Thea is going to become much more bad ass then we have seen.

3. Lastly and probably the lost exciting news, Miss Katie Cassidy has hinted that she will be taking over the black leather and Canary status. YES YES YES! This will be amazing what more could you possibly ask for?

All in all I'd say season 3 is slowly becoming more amazing by the minute. Make sure to check back here for more Arrow updates as they come in.

A Few Notes from Christian: 

1. I want my main man Brick as a villain at some point this season, continue the meta-human trend.

2. Thea becoming learning to fight will be interesting. A possible Season 3 finale showdown of Malcolm and his disciple Thea against Ollie and his sidekick Roy. Feels would be all over the place.

3. Laurel becoming the real Canary pleases me. I became less enamored with Caity Lotz as season 2 went on so hopefully Laurel's Canary will have a better lasting impact. This also brings in a possibility of Ted Grant, Catman, coming into Starling to train Laurel. DC comics heaven. I also have begun to enjoy Cassidy's acting more and more. Adding her to the Arrow cave will do wonders for her character's arc. Less pills and booze and more salmon ladder bars.
