The Flash "The Man in the Yellow Suit" Review/Thoughts

The Flash wrapped up its 2014 run tonight with its big mid-season finale that finally had Barry come face to super-vibrating face with the Reverse Flash. Couple that with brief Firestorm side-story and a slew of heartfelt interactions, and you got yourself a lot to look forward to going into the season's second half.

Episode Description: Barry finally  faces off with the man who murdered his mother: The Reverse Flash. Meanwhile, Caitlin believes her ex-fiancee Ronnie is alive in Central City and recruits  Cisco to help track him down. 

High Points:

• The Reverse Flash reveals his presence to Barry
• Face-off at the Central City football stadium (because super-villains love doing stuff in stadiums. I'm looking at you Bane and Magneto)
• The fights and chases between Barry and the Reverse Flash were very exciting and suspenseful
• The entire Reverse Flash caught in the forcefield scene was extremely intriguing (due to the presence of both Dr. Wells and Eddie) 
• Dr. McGee's comment on how similar Harrison and Barry are...
• Tachyons (faster than the speed of light? Sounds like some time-travel talk!)
• A second speedster the night of Nora Allen's murder? (Sounds like some time-travel talk!!)
• And we have lift-off! Congrats Firestorm! You are officially the first flying super hero we have seen in this CW universe
• Barry is making moves on the Iris front 
• That Dr. Wells-based cliffhanger...  

Low Points:

• The Firestorm storyline felt very weird tonight (it wasn't so much that it was out of place, but the interactions and situations felt very awkward and unnatural...)
• The transitions were a bit shaky tonight. Particularly the ones during the Firestorm storyline.. I mean there was one scene where Ronnie was holding Caitlin's face and then suddenly his hands were on fire and no where near her face.. Pretty poor execution on that front all-around 
• Who packages a house key to look like a wedding ring Eddie? Is this just some of the general douchebaggery that comes along with being Eobard Thawne?

Verdict: After weeks of aggressive speculation on my part, Barry's arch-nemesis has finally graced us with his presence, and what a presence he was. The scenes he appeared in were incredibly suspenseful and his superior control over his speed powers were showcased excellently via his ability to operate at the speeds he does while still vibrating fast enough to keep his identity a secret. However, it really isn't much of a secret anymore am I right? I mean finally the intensive speculating can come to a stop, right? Right??

We got hit hard with another Dr. Wells cliffhanger this week that essentially sets him up as the Reverse Flash. We see him, we see the suit, we see him with the thing the Reverse Flash stole and we hear him do the vibrating voice thing. That is a lot of very incriminating evidence stacked against the good doctor. However, there are still a handful of questions left to be answered. Let's walk through the big ones now, shall we?:

• If either Dr. Wells or Eddie is the Reverse Flash, then how were they all present in the room simultaneously?
• Why did the Reverse Flash beat the piss out of Dr. Wells?
• Why didn't the Reverse Flash beat the piss out of Eddie? 

Whatever the answers are, one thing is crystal clear: This has time travel written all over it. It was clear from the first episode that we were going to get some time traveling at some point due to Dr. Well's futuristic newspaper. However, it was unclear until now how complex they were going to get with it. Now there is a whole slew of possibilities: Dr. Wells could be working some crazy time travel plan as Professor Zoom. The Reverse Flash could still potentially be a future Eddie Thawne, as made evident by his hesitation to cause Eddie any harm. I understand how obvious it seems right now that Dr. Wells is our man, but I refuse to let my guard down with this show. I won't shrug off the notion that this is all just a big ploy until they literally slap me across the face with identity of the Reverse Flash. Until then my suspect list remains as it always has:

        Suspect #1: Dr. Wells (incriminating evidence)     Suspect #2: Eddie Thawne (did not get the shit beaten out of him)

                                                    Suspect #3: The Man in The Yellow Hat (is literally a man in a yellow suit)

Also on the topic of time travel, Cisco made a very interesting comment tonight about the red-lightning from the night Nora Allen was murdered. Now I do not want to jump the gun here but it certainly sounds to me like Barry was there that night. This is exciting because there are storylines out there where Barry goes back in time in an attempt to save his mother, one of which is the recent Flashpoint Paradox story. I'm not saying we should get ready for a full-blown Atlantis vs. Themyscira showdown on this show, but I am saying that we should get pumped for some very exciting time-travel storylines in the near future. As action-packed as tonight's episode was, it had it's weak points as well. I am referring to Caitlin and Cisco's quest to find Ronnie. It felt so unnatural and the dialogue was very unemotional in what really should have been a more emotional series of events. The matter was supposedly urgent but it really did not feel that way at all. I'm not trying to say it was the worst, but it was very awkward and overall could have been done better. However, this episode was exciting, suspenseful and gave us a lot to look forward to in the future, so this episode gets a 9.0 out of 10.

The Flash "Power Outage" Reviews/Thoughts

The Flash is hit hard with a cold dose of normalcy this week as his latest foe's powers leave him without his.

Episode Description: During a battle with a meta-human named Farooq (a.k.a. Blackout), Barry loses his super speed when his electrical energy is siphoned away by his foe. Meanwhile, Joe, Iris and Eddie are all taken hostage at the Central City Police Station by none other than the Clock King. 

High Points:

• Getting more scenes of Harrison Wells out of his wheel chair and interacting with his future tech 
• Barry showing some character weaknesses he will have to overcome (getting cocky, becoming dependent on his powers)
• Another all-time PR shattered this week: The new lowest speed: 7 mph
• Two villains this week!
• Who says only the heroes of Arrow can pay Central City a visit? (Also does this mean that the villains that Barry faces could potentially rear their heads in Starling City?)
• Dr. Wells essentially sending Girder off to die so Barry would be safe 
• Dr. Wells and Barry seem to butt heads for the first time (could this be a preview of what is to come?)
• "You stopped thinking about your powers and finally started connecting with them" - Caitlin Snow (This may be just a line but it sounds like the speed force could be hinted at here...)
• Iris finally stepping it up and bringing it to the Clock King 
• The weekly "Is he good or bad?" moment with Dr. Wells

Low Points:

• Barry's "mental block" wasn't really explained, nor did it seem to make sense
• "I need more speed" - Dr. Wells (This is what Wells said to Barry after saying that he needed the Flash for curing diseases and paralysis and whatnot..I am not sure how that translates) 
• Iris seemed to get over the Flash's absence at the hostage situation immediately 
• Nobody replaced Barry's mug...Barry loved that mug...

There are two types of heroes in this world: The ones who love their mugs, and the ones who couldn't give a shit

Verdict: Another stepping stone for the show this week: Two villains in one night! In one corner we had the savvy vet. from Starling City, The Clock King. Though the Flash never confronted him, his hostage situation was still very entertaining, and it was kinda of cool to see the unspoken communication between Joe and Eddie that led to the King's demise. In the other corner we had the newcomer from Central City, Blackout, a character so obscure that he isn't even from the original DC universe. Some people may know him from the alternate universe that is featured in the Flashpoint storyline. In tonight's episode he reminded me a lot of Electro from The Amazing Spiderman 2, (without the glowing blue skin, of course) due to his ability to siphon electricity as both a method of sustaining himself and as a method of attacking others. I enjoyed the whole "Barry without his powers" story but I really didn't buy into the "mental block" that kept him from using his powers after they recharged him. It seemed like it was forced in there just to prolong the time that Barry was powerless for. However, this week's episode was truly more about building upon Dr. Well's character than it was Barry's. We got a lot of screen time with Harrison in his back room consulting with his future-seeing computer and I found it very interesting that the future changed when Barry "lost" his powers. We now know that Dr. Wells is not just here for the ride, but that he is here specifically to guide Barry towards the events tat lead to his disappearance in 2024. We also learned the lengths at which he is willing to go to make sure that it happens (sacrificing the lives of others to protect that of Barry's). Now I am just going to say that Professor Zoom is usually categorized as having an unhealthy obsession with The Flash and Dr. Wells does spend an awful lot of time in that back room of his thinking about Barry... Just a thought. A lot of villainy this week and a lot of character development means a 7.5 out of 10 is in order.

That One Time The Flash Made a Real Ass Out of Me: Last week when Barry put Tony Woodward away there was not a doubt in my mind that Tony would someday break out of his prison and Barry would be in severe trouble of having his identity revealed. I said that plain and simple in my review. One week later Tony Woodward is dead. I thought I knew the game you were playing The Flash, but tonight you essentially said "Shut up Ryan, you don't know shit about us", and too that I say well played.

The Flash "Plastique" Review/Thoughts

The Flash returned this week after a brief hiatus, and with it came new tricks in Barry's repertoire, more backstory on the suspicious Harrison Wells, and the first meta-human to not be evil since The Flash himself.

Episode Description: After a massive explosion is caused by Plastique, (a meta-human who makes items spontaneously combust when she touches them) General Eiling arrives in Central City looking to utilize her powers.

High Points:

• Barry starting to get daring with his powers (running up walls and on water)
• Barry's Super Sobriety (he should grab a drink with Captain America sometime)
• "The Streak" seems to be the pre-Flash name for Barry, much like "The Hood" was the pre-Arrow name for Oliver
• General Wade "Eugene Krabs" Eiling makes his debut (potential for Captain Atom?)
• The scene where The Flash confronts Iris, mostly because Barry vibrated his vocal chords to disguise his voice
• Joe West wants Barry and Iris and none of this Eddie and Iris crap
• Plastique's homemade bombs (basically metal balls she touched) 
• Our weekly dose of suspicious behavior from Harrison Wells, this time connecting him to General Eiling
• Gorilla Grodd!!

"Can ya feel it Mr. Krabs? Can ya feel it Mr. Krabs?"

Low Points: 

• There seemed like there was potential for Plastique's character had she remained alive...
• I am still not enjoying Iris. Her obsession with The Flash seems like it is only there to serve as the force that drives her and Barry apart
• Every time The Flash rushed to Plastique's aid during this episode, Plastique got shot...

Verdict: The Flash is starting to really build on his repertoire of skills which is exciting to see. Not only is he starting to run fast enough to cross water and scale buildings, but he is also getting into the powers that stem from his ability to vibrate parts of his body at super speed. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think it is only a matter of time until we start to see him vibrate through solid objects. I was a bit disappointed that Plastique only lasted one episode. Although she isn't the biggest name in the world of DC villains, she is one of the main villains to a character who we know is on the way: Firestorm (Robbie Amell). She is also the wife of Captain Atom, which brings me to my next point: General Wade Eiling is shaping up to have a reoccurring presence in this show. Not only does Eiling tend to have connections to Cadmus but he is also usually the one responsible for the creation of Captain Atom and Major Force. Dr. Wells did say that he liked to experiment on his own men, so would it be completely out of the question to start speculating on an appearance by Nathaniel Adam? Also for the first time since this show began, I am suddenly very unsure that Harrison Wells is the man I thought he was (Eobard Thawne). It has suddenly become very clear that both he and Eiling have something to do with Gorilla Grodd, who may be making a sooner appearance then we originally anticipated. We have only seen glimpses so far, but I for one am pumped to see Gorilla Grodd in live-action. Another great episode that dropped a lot of big names and opened up a lot of future possibilities means that an 8.5 out of 10 is in order.

Exploring the DC Cinematic Universe: The Flash

The Flash

Release Date: March 23, 2018

Who is the Flash?: Barry Allen is a forensic scientist that works for the Central City police department. While working late one night, a lightning bolt shattered a case of chemicals in Allen's office which then proceeded to spill all over him. The electrically infused chemicals is what gave Barry his super speed, reflexes and metabolism. The Flash uses his powers to defend the citizens of Central City, and is one of the original members of The Justice League as well as one of its most consistent members.

Director: Greg Berlanti

Why?: Time for some real talk. Ever since people went nuts for Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, the DC cinematic universe has decided to embrace a darker, grittier take on some of our heroes. Just watch Snyder's Man of Steel and count how many times anyone smiled. Now I am in no way saying dark and gritty is a thing to be frowned upon. Some of the best stories come from that edgier material. However, Superman was portrayed as very broody in his most recent movie and that is what scares me about The Flash. Despite his backstory of having lost his Mom when he was young, Barry is the farthest thing from being broody, or solemn. He is the type of hero who tosses witty banter and corny catchphrases around like it is going out of style. He is the type of guy who interacts openly with the citizens of his city, thus causing them to adore him to the point where they would build a museum in his honor. He reminds me a little bit of how Andrew Garfield's Spiderman holds himself when he is out and about solving crime (maybe not to such an extreme, but the basic gist of it). The tone of The Flash has got to be a bit lighter than usual in order to capture that and Greg Berlanti is the type of guy who can do that. Now you may be thinking to yourself "But Ryan, didn't that monster have a hand in producing the unforgivable, 2011 cinematic blunder known as The Green Lantern?". You would be correct in thinking that, but Greg Berlanti has also been a consistent writer and producer for one of our favorite shows: Arrow. Not to mention he has recently been doing some more writing/producing for a show alongside DC's Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns. Which show? The Flash. By 2018, he will have had close to four years experience working with The Flash's stories, getting to really know the characters and how to do them justice. He is practically a director in extensive training for this project. 

A small sampling of how the Flash is intended to behave:

Proposed Story: During our Wonder Woman editorial it was proposed by Christian that no origin stories should come of this DC movie slate and I could not agree more. The Flash is the movie that is on deck immediately following The Justice League Pt. 1. Although he has not been confirmed yet, it would shock me to no end if The Flash wasn't present at all during The Justice League's first film. So let's just assume he will be and then have a quick little nod to how he obtained his powers and be done with it so we can get to the good stuff. Therefore: After the events of The Justice League Pt. 1, Barry Allen looks into ways to increase his speed. He soon discovers that he utilizes a power source known as the "speed force" and learns that he can use it to not only use it to run faster, but also to augment his cognition. One day, as if out of the blue, an EMP blast blacks out Central City, causing crime to run rampant. However, Barry later realizes that it was himself who caused the problem due to his reckless use of the speed force causing inconsistencies in the time stream. Barry must deal with the weight of what he has done to his city, while also dealing with the vengeance of those he has wronged.

Inspired By: The plot I have in mind (as vague as it may have sounded) is essentially the one that is featured in the Move Forward storyline of The Flash's New 52 run. It is a great story when it comes to Barry slowly figuring out the full-extent of his powers, as well as the consequences of them. In the story, an EMP blast blacks out Central City and leaves its citizens in the dark. Later on in the story Barry tries to contain an explosion using his speed, but instead sends it back in time without realizing it, meaning that he sent the EMP blast that doomed Central City to darkness. The effects of this also cause Leonard Snart to lose his sister, which causes him to go after the Flash in a crazed frenzy. The movie obviously wouldn't be frame-for-frame the same but it could definitely draw heavily from this story arch.

Lead Characters (Cast): By following the Move Forward storyline, The Flash will feature some names that are probably not well known to most so I'll give a little explanation about the character as I go and how they would pertain to the plot.

1. Barry Allen/The Flash (Ezra Miller)

Why?: The Flash is steadily taking the DC television universe by storm and come 3-4 years from now he will get his shot at the big leagues. Ezra Miller is the only confirmed actor associated with the project thus far and I am deeply unimpressed. There is no reason for me to believe that Miller has got what it takes to portray The Fastest Man Alive based on his past work. However, I remember a time when I was not overly impressed with Grant Gustin either, and now I am all for his Barry Allen. All I can say now is prove me wrong Ezra. For the love of Christ just prove me wrong. 

2. Dr. Darwin Elias (Chris Messina)

Why?: Dr. Elias is the person who acts as a confidante to The Flash and he also helps perform tests to discover how Barry can maximize his powers. In Move Forward, he is essentially the one who tells Barry about the speed force. He is pretty new territory with not a whole lot of expectations about him so I trust Messina could make the character his own.

3. Roscoe Hynes/Turbine (David Oyelowo)

Why?: Roscoe Hynes is a Tuskegee Airman from WWII who got sucked into the speed force during a test flight. When the Flash goes to the Speed Force dimension he meets Turbine and ends up bringing him back with him. Turbine has potential to be either friend or foe depending on how they want to use him. Turbine is similar to Dr. Elias

Villans: The Rogues

1. Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Gabriel Macht) 

Why?: Captain Cold is the main person that is out to get The Flash in this story line. The blackout that the Flash causes keeps his sister from getting the care she needs and she passes away. The other Rouges are not really included in the this arch, but it would be easy to switch things around a bit and get them all in there. A while ago our own Dan Lee wrote a fan cast for Captain Cold featuring Gabriel Macht and it was explains the choice very well. Check it our here: Dan's FanCast Friday.

2. Mark Mardon/Weather Wizard (Taylor Kitsch)

Why?: Another member of the Rouges who could be worked onto the team and into the story. Taylor Kitsch has superhero movie experience under his belt playing Gambit. Weather Wizard is a character that seems right up his ally.

3.  Mick Rory/Heatwave (Vinnie Jones)

Why?: Because bring back the Juggernaut bitch, that's why. Another experienced superhero actor who could be fun to watch as Heatwave. 

4. George Harkness/ Captain Boomerang (Tom Hardy)

Why?: Earlier this week, Christian cast Captain Boomerang for the Suicide Squad. Let's get some continuity going between these two movies by having Captain Boomerang also be a member of the Rouges. 

Thanks for reading the editorial! You probably may have noticed I didn't say anything about Eobard Thawne. Although he is all I talk about when it comes to The Flash TV show, I decided to go a different route this time for two reasons. A) I think the New 52 Flash stories have been pretty good so far and would do well on the silver screen if done right and B) if there were to be a live action Professor Zoom, I would want it to be done Flashpoint Paradox style, which I know is way, way too much to ask for in The Flash's first movie. At that point it is practically another Justice League movie that just happens to focus a little more on The Flash. The Flash "Things You Can't Outrun" Review/Thoughts

This week on The Flash, Barry wrestles with the struggles of being a hero, we get a glimpse at what happened to Caitlin the night the particle accelerator blew, and Star Labs gets a second job as a super-powered prison for the Flash's enemies.

Episode Description:  Barry and the Star Labs team confront The Mist, a meta-human who can turn himself into toxic gas, while Caitlin reflects on the night the of the particle accelerator explosion, in which her fiancee was killed. 

High Points:

• Barry continuing to deal with everyday petty crime in Central City
• "I'm not asking for a museum in my honor.." (Fun little nod to The Flash museum)
• Quickly addressing the problem of The Flash executing his enemies
• The solution to the aforementioned problem: Star Labs Super Jail
• "I've felt like I've waited for this day for centuries" - Harrison Wells (Sounds like an amount of waiting time that Eobard Thawne would have to endure...)
• Robbie "Firestorm" Amell making his first appearance as Caitlin's fiancee
• Barry continuing to understand the limitations/implications of his powers
• Barry inhaling the toxic gas in a total brass-balled move to get Star Labs a sample 
• Barry and Joe's father-son relationship

Low Points:

• Anything having to do with Eddie and Iris's relationship 
•  The Mist was another one-and-done villain of the week type
• of times before
• To answer my question from last week: It seems Barry will be opening and closing each episode with a statement that is more often than not a bit corny
• The infamous "If I'm not out in time, close the door behind me" plot device that has been used hundreds of times before

Anyone see Godzilla/every other movie involving a reactor of sorts?

Verdict: Now that we are three episodes in, The Flash seems to be settling in to a bit of a pattern of throwing a new meta-human Barry's way, having Barry exploit the villain's weakness (thus beating him) and then concluding with an ominous cut scene of Dr. Harrison Wells. I'm not saying this is a totally bad thing, and the constant hints at Eobard Thawne promise us more over-arching plots in the near future. I just hope the show doesn't get to predictable (and therefore boring) while these bigger evils are set up. Right now it is the smaller things that Barry does as well as the development of the characters that is driving this show. Barry's relationship with Joe is becoming a favorite of mine and tonight we saw him finally break some ground with Caitlin. The only relationship I really can't get myself to care about is the one between Eddie and Iris. That is purely for selfish Barry and Iris Allen reasons though. I am also enjoying watching Barry slowly starting to realize what it truly means to have powers, and how to use them responsibly. It can be fun to see those "Year One" type of story-archs that happen when a new superhero is getting into the groove of things and figuring out the whole act of protecting a city or the world. Naturally, that is the type of story we can expect to continue seeing this season, and personally, if it means The Flash and his friends are constantly being developed into more seasoned crime-fighters, than I for one am all for it. The Flash scores a  7.5 out of 10 this week.

The Flash "Fastest Man Alive" Review/Thoughts

In this week's installment of The Flash, we get a glimpse at downsides to having a super-fast metabolism as well as some development in the character backstory/relationship department.

Episode Description: Having decided to help the citizens of Central City as "The Flash", Barry Allen's confidence is shaken when he faces off against Multiplex, a foe who can make copies of himself.

High Points:

• The Flash helping deal with everyday occurrences like fires and thefts
• Another crime scene that shows off Barry's ability to deduce situations
• Flashbacks gave useful background info about Barry's relationship with Detective West
• Joe West established as a "father figure" and trusted confidant to Barry
• Barry starting to figure out his strengths and limitations
• Scenes where the world seems to slow around Barry are well done (even the comical ones)
• "The Red Streak"
• Another ending that keeps you guessing about Dr. Wells and his motives
• Who is Eobard Thawne??

Harrison?..Is that you?

Low Points:

• Not overly impressed with some characters yet (Iris & Cisco)
• Multiplex's performance was also unimpressive
• Multiplex's backstory sounded suspiciously like Mr. Freeze's...
• Is every episode going to begin and end with Barry telling us what he is doing and a lesson he learned respectively?
• We may have to deal with some villain-of-the-week stuff before we get to some real overarching villainy

Verdict: Last week's premiere of The Flash, showed us that Professor Zoom is absolutely going to be a presence at some point in this show but has left it open as to who it is going to be. Will it be Dr. Harrison Wells, who we have seen doing multiple shady things and owns a copy of The Central City Citizen from 2024? Or will it be Eddie Thawne, Iris's boyfriend whose name is Eddie Thawne? One of them is there to throw us off from the other, and at this point I have no idea who to truly suspect, and I love that! However, until we find out who is Eobard and who isn't, it seems like we are going to get some of your weaker, run-of-the mill, one-and-done villains like Multiplex. This isn't completely bad though. Less focus on a "big bad" for now allows for more focus on the development of Barry's character and background stories. And let's not forget the incredibly important detail that was addressed tonight: Barry needs to eat constantly so he has fuel to burn. I was always a fan of watching Wally West have to wolf down a plate of food during breaks in the action on Justice League Unlimited. Overall the show didn't skip a beat this week and thus receives another 8.0 out of 10.

Arrow "Seeing Red" Thoughts/ Review!

Come one. Come all its Wednesday night and we know that that means. Arrow! Alright the usual precautions are necessary due to major spoilers. Didn't watch the episode? Shame on you go watch it then come back and read it. Let us begin....

Major Plot Points

• Team Arrow goes after Roy all except Diggle who is instructed to watch Thea
• Meanwhile Moria Queen tells Sebastian Blood her decision to drop out of the election
• Roy takes out a huge group of dudes, including Sin, and runs for refuge in Sin's clock tower
• Arrow and Canary follow him there
• Canary gets knocked out, Roy catches Arrow's arrow (hehehe) then promptly dislocates his knee
• Roy has hallucinations of Thea telling him to kill her
• Moria Queen and Ollie patch up their relationship and Ollie tells his dear mother not to drop out to prove to Thea that she is doing something right
• Moria knows Ollie's secret and says how proud she is 
• Moria goes public with the announcement shes not dropping out
• Thea uses the speech to draw Roy out of hiding
• Sara says Roy has too far gone and must be killed
• Intense moment between Roy and Sara as she has a gun pointed at his head
• She instead shoots him in the leg, while Ollie injects him with three arrows of viper venom
• Sara decides to leave because she is not what Ollie wants her to be (please come back)
• The Queens continue on in their limo and they decide no more secrets
• The limo is attacked by none other than Slade Wilson
• Slade tells Ollie to choose who he is to kill Moria or Thea
• Moria chooses herself, and she is run right through with a sword 
• Slade has one more person to kill on his list before Ollie.....(I think we know who)
• Oh and Ollie has a child running around Central City somewhere?!?!

What I liked:

• Badass Roy....Imagine what it will be like when he controls his powers
• Action scenes were just simply amazing
• Good to see Moria Queen and Ollie patch things up
• Ollie has the strength of many men to fight through that leg pain
• Heart racing episode through and through
• Another Central City name drop
• Moria Queen with long hair is a total MILF
• Slade you sick bastard
• The anticipation for next week is unreal
• 3 more weeks!!!!!

What I disliked:

• Diggle got his ass kicked
• Thea is still a whiney little bitch
• Sara is leaving :(
• Moria is dead (that could go either way depending on your view of the character)
• the CW Will They? Won't They moments (we all know them)
• What was the big secret about Malcom Merlyn?

What to expect in the last 3 WEEKS!!!!

Honestly, after tonight, I can't even begin to describe where it will head next. They did show a little preview for next week we see the return of Brother Blood, Slade's army, and another masked vigilante. Since it was so quick I could not tell who it was. Anyways, clearly Oliver Queen's world is beginning to shatter around him as we knew it would. No money, Sara leaves so he has no girlfriend, and now my favorite candidate for the Starling City election/his mother is dead. What else can Slade do??? I think we all know who that last person he is referring to is. I wont say it because I could be wrong, but I have an idea. By the way, who the hell is Ollie's kid in Central City. Was that another Flash reference? Is Wally West running around Central City? Is Kid Flash in the Arrowverse????? WHAT AREN'T THEY TELLING US?!?!?!?!  Damn you. But I digress, next week should be unreal as well.

All in all I give this episode an 8.5 out of 10 rating!
